Appearance
The world of appearance is ephemeral, therefore, one might as well call it the world of disappearance.
If you believe something to be true and real, it should have the decency to last a while. The problem is most truths pass on, dissolve or disappear from consciousness. “I saw it yesterday, clear as bell I did. But now today, can’t even remember what I was on about!”
Perhaps we could speak of enduring realities… realities that have a due date… best before July 12, or the next eyePhone, which ever comes first.
What is the point. Life is a spontaneous fount of co-emergent wonders to behold. In the midst of a whole flock of pheasants, it is worthwhile to emphasize the ones that matter to you. Make an emphasis on that which is beautiful, tasteful, revelatory, and in some inexplicable way, good. The rest can pass on.
